Retina-Inspired Organic Heterojunction-Based Optoelectronic Synapses for Artificial Visual Systems
A demonstration of the synaptic transistor array and the mimicry of human visual learning and forgetting processes. (a) Schematic illustration of the basic operating principle of the synaptic transistor array under the illumination of different light wavelengths (480 nm, 540 nm, 650 nm) with a fixed light intensity of 0.5 mW cm-2, and the corresponding test results of the transistor array after the illuminating process in 1 s, 5 s, and 50 s. (b) Mimicry of human visual learning and forgetting processes in different mood states, and the recognition result of the letter “K” denoted by the light wavelengths of 480 nm (blue), 540 nm (green), and 650 nm (red), respectively.
