Electron-Ion Coupling Mechanism to Construct Stable Output Performance Nanogenerator

Stable output performance triboelectric nanogenerator (SOP-TENG) based on the coupling of two conductive mechanisms was proposed and fabricated. (a) Schematic illustration of the proposed SOP-TENG reveals its paper-like configuration made of graphite and cellulose nanofibrils extracted from raw carrots. CaCl2 was employed to serve as ion sources to realize ion-doped cellulose nanofibril (CNF) films with a thickness of 100 μm, and screen-printed electrodes of different sizes were attached on the surface of CNFs, the photograph of which is shown in (b). (c) Cross-section scanning electron microscopy (SEM) image of the proposed SOP-TENG. More details of preparing cellulose nanofibril film and printing graphite electrode are given in Supplementary Figure S1.
